Tadd Torborg
Hello. It feels funny typing about myself in a forum like this. But here goes.I live in Orlando Florida. I grew up in several places, mostly Kingsville Texas, Chester and Mendham New Jersey, and partly in Marsa El Brega Libya, Edmonton Alberta, and Corpus Christy Texas.
In my adult life I have lived in New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Washington state, Pennsylvania, and now Florida.
I am married and have two kids.
I work for a living as a Firmware Engineer. That's a software engineer who specializes in programming for computers that boot from solid state memory. Most software runs on a computer that has the capability of rewriting its own program storage. Firmware runs on computers that generally don't do that. The programs I write tend to live on devices that run the same way each time they are turned on, and are generally much less sophisticated than what we normally run software on. Microwave ovens, digital watches, elevators, car stereos, and cellphones are examples of devices that are programmed with firmware.
For hobbies I photograph, tour, make web pages, operate and/or build ham radio gear (as KA2DEW), and may eventually get back into model railroading. I also tinker with small electronics and microprocessors.
If you look for me on Google you're bound to find me. There aren't very many Tadds or Torborgs in the world.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
