Hi my name's Barry Mablethorpe (47). I am a deputy tank cleaner at the Tunbridge Wells Sea Life Centre. My favourite fish is a south American Tiger Fish, who I call Harry Tomkinson. He is my only friend.
Having a life-long allergy to lager and and a rare medical condition that makes me dribble when I am in the company of any woman weighing less than 28 stone (including my mother and paternal grandmother), I have never had much of a social life. My last outing was in 1966 when my class was taken to Stonehenge for the day. Unfortunately it was closed for alterations and someone stole my sandwich.
I have two ambitions in life - firstly I would like to be a writer and pen comic monologues to rival those of the Music Hall greats whose 78s fill my wardrobe - such as "Darren "The Topical Tongue Twisting Trickster" Topping and Eamon "Hay man!" Amon, the Barking Barrow Bay from Billericay - both of whom died in the Great Trouser Press Fire that closed the Stourport Astoria forever in the late Autumn of 1927, as I am sure many of you will recall only too keenly.
My other ambition is to discover a completely new irregular verb meaning to "peer crudely at" and then to decline it for the benefit and admiration of a whole new generation of verb users on the international stage.
