Why does my dog, who dives into the sea in the depths of winter, and cares not a whit about driving sleet, try to crawl under the duvet at night? Should I swap her for a penguin?

...which is good, because i never could get the hang of them. Living in hope that somewhere the sun is shining. Bring it on, world, i'm feeling hoopy about the whole thing.
