What about me?
My name is Chris. Prospect Tree is an abbreviated version of the anagram that can be formed by my full name. I like to think of myself as interested, rather than interesting. I am a writer who enjoys the act of writing and stringing these crazy things called 'words' together, for no other reason than to see what happens. Somewhat akin to a mad scientist playing around in his dark basement with masses of test-tubes, other weird glass devices, bottles of foaming chemicals and unidentifiable body parts. Although I sit in my first floor bedroom that I share with my girlfriend, and I can hear the kind of comments I would get from her if I started doing weird things with body parts. Well, even more weird than usual, at any rate.
I work for the government. More than that, I'd rather not say. However, I really like the job that I do and the organisation I work for. It wasn't always this way, but I believe if you work hard enough, you find some things are possible and other things kill you.
I'm not really sure what else I'm going to write in this introduction. I'm not very good at talking about myself, even though I'm writing about myself and I haven't quite decided what I'm going to write yet, so I might write some more later. It's like going to the hairdresser and having her ask what it is you want. Before I get there, I've worked it out brilliantly, making sure I use the right turn of phrase to explain that I want her to turn me into something amazing using the tools she has and the poor quality raw materials sat in her chair. I want her to work on me the way Michelangelo worked on clay. Instead, I mumble something indistinctly about short back and sides, with something off the top and completely fail to make the most out of the opportunity presented to me.
Sometimes though, I don't miss all the opportunities I come across.
