Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Started conversation Jun 6, 2012
We have all shared and laughed at misheard lyrics, not least us Germans, Danes and Borderline Krauts when we finally learned what we *really* heard on Radio Luxembourg back then in the late 60's and early 70's
Like for instance "The girl with collitis goes by"
But this, given to me by a good Fb friend yesterday, really takes the and had me in tears for minutes, so I just *had* to share it with you:

I'm sure paulh will enjoy this. Latin sung by a choir with a heavy english (american? australian?) accent. Room for lots and lots of (wrong) interpretations of what is actually being sung. Priceless!

Brilliant video Pierce.
There is a song called Sexy Boy and it's sounds like the man is singing "lipstick burning, mystic turning or the other way round".

Can't hear it; no speakers. Must be good though from the above appreciation.

Got no speakers either, but use a headset...

That was so funny! The sixties and seventies were a fertile time for
misheard lyrics. Dusty Springfield sang,"You stopped and you smiled at
me and asked if our kettle danced..." on I only want to be with you.

I remember Steve Miller Band singing "Abra abra cadabra - I want to freak out and stab you..."
Only they didn't, which is porbably just as well
