for being too hasty and thus inaccurate/unprecise

same thing happened to me yesterday, by the way. colleague rang and asked me about something in german and i quickly provided her with an answer

but then for a few hours i got more and more uneasy until it finally struck me that i had given her a wrong translation so had to call back and apologize and make it right again

just goes to show that it is justified that i don't trust my german any more after living abroad for nigh on 40 years
