Avast there Captain Sire!
It's such a pleasant morning here - how is it over there in the land of the Danes?
I was wondering if I could add you to my friends list as you always seem to strike the right note between civility and nonsense - ( did that sound rude?) Well what I mean to say is that I enjoy what you post and hope you don't think me impertinent.

you are most welcome and in no way impertinent,
i try to live by the words of the late great danish philosopher (well, universal genius, actually) piet hein, who, among a lot of other very short and very well worded poems, wrote:
one who only takes jokes for jokes
and seriousness only serious
he and she has understood both
equally badly
there may be a better translation somewhere but i don't have time to look for it now. have to take a shower and get ready for this weeks summit (me and a few friends meet at a café in the center every saturday at noon and sort out the problems of the world, while scrutinizing the people of this city passing by. it's a dirty job at times, but some have to do it)
Key: Complain about this post
