No Direction
Posted Mar 6, 2000
-Neil wants to know why I keep writing Bad Religion songs.
A sullen figure walks along the dusty road
his life was holy and he couldn't bear the load
he left his people and the simple life behind
he raised his torso and he looked into the sky
shouting his questions
looking for directions
"what do I do now?"
now a confused schoolgirl sits at the T.V. tray
the stresses of maturing compound everyday
she glances up to see her favorite video
and gets ideas from Madonna's nasty clothes
in need of affection
she craves the direction
her heros offer her
everyone is looking for something
and they assume somebody else knows what it is
no one can live with the decisions of their own it seems
so they look to someone else
to tell 'em what to be
tell 'em what to wear
tell 'em what to say
tell 'em how to act and think and compel others compulsively
until the world is all like them
a righteous studen came and asked me to reflect
he judged my lifestyle was politically incorrect
I don't believe in self important folks who preach
no Bad Religion song can make your life complete
prepare for rejection
you'll get no direction from me

Neil is home!
Posted Mar 5, 2000
Neil has been successfully cloned with no ill effects. And since I switched my page to GuideML, he's going to have to live in the journal. But, I don't think he'll mind.
Will you Neil?
-fishy talk-
That's good.

Whistling In the Dark
Posted Mar 4, 2000
A woman came up to me and said,
"I'd like to poison your mind,
with wrong ideas that appeal yo you,
though I am not unkind".
She looked at me, I looked at something
written across her scalp
and this is what it faintly said
as I tried to call for help:
"There's only one thing
that I know how to do well,
and I've often been told that you only can do
what you know how to do well,
and that's be you,
be what you're like,
be like yourself,
and so I'm having a wonderful time
but I'd rather be wistling in the dark.
There's only one thing that I like
and that is wistling in the dark.
A man came up to me and said,
"I'd like to change your mind,
by hitting it with a rock," he said,
"though I am not unkind."
We laughed at his little joke
and then I merrily walked away
and hit my head on the wall of the jail
where the two of us live today.
Who's song is this?

Since I started putting song lyrics in my journals, people have been commenting on them. So, I have decided to put some more on here. But not just yet.

I am a black and white ghost. In a black and invisible dress. Oh, what a mess I'm in. What kind of fool am I? I am the married kind. The kind that said I do. Forever searching for someone new.
At night I get drunk and fly around. In the day I dream and lay around. I drink and smoke your brand and drink. I am drunk over you. I am very kind. I've gone and said I do. Forever searching for someone new.
