do you have any idea on the name of the song Arthur and Fenchurch are listening in "So long..."

That's a good question, my guess is that it would probably be 'Romeo & Juliet' from Making Movies. Thats quite a romantic song, but there are others;
Fade to Black
Hand in Hand
Tunnel of Love
Telegraph Road
I reccomend you get either 'Sultans of Swing, the very best of Dire Straits, or 'Money for Nothing'. Both give you a broad idea of the bands music and are damn good.

I actually have the "making movies" and "love over gold" albums, and I both find them great.Actually the only person I know who dislikes the dIRE sTRAITS is my little brother, but his opinion counts only the sixth of mine, as he is 1 and a half and I'm 18. (Still I'm not sure if mathematics are appliable in that case, and besides it often appears to me that he chooses the discs randomly). At the beggining I thought of "telegraph road", perhaps because it's quite long (after all Arthur checks all Fenchurch's body before the book reaches to the guitar solo) whereas Romeo and Juliet only takes 5'50... Besides, I don't know if we should take into account that it's the first song of the album....

I think we can discount 'Fade to black' because that was in the 'On Every Street' Album, which was made after So long...
As for Telegraph road, you should try listening to the libe version on 'alchemy', that goes on for about 20 minutes

Have you ever felt that for a long while you kept on missing an inportant thing? As if you had just read a great book that you've been seeing on the family bibliothèque (that is the place were you put the books in your house, I only forgot the English for it( darn memory, after 18 it begins to fade away)) and....
oh never mind, actually that's precisely what happened to me with the dire straits three days ago!

I am certainly going to get that alchemy live album

Smart move. Another good live bet is 'on the night', thats got a lot of the newer stuff and the live version of private investigations on there just makes you want to weep as its so damn goood!

Hey I just bought the Love over Gold compact. Let me explain you: I have a CD writing utility, and i usually think about the discs: why should I buy them when I can copy them? I had had Love for a while and I was about to copy it when I thought: why should I do that, after all it's illegal, and besides the dIRE sTRAITS are still alive (whereas I usually copy jazz discs, and most of the composers and personnel being dead, I have no special problem with because I only take rich producer's money)
Therefore i went to Gibert (where we Parisians from the Latin Quarter buy discs) and I bought the disc!
