Welcome to Garin's page.

Hello everyone, and welcome to my page.

My name is Garin. My submissions to the H2G2 include an article about paintball. I am also entertaining thoughts of writing one about a favourite physics topic. I haven't quite decided what to write on yet, so if you have any ideas, please let me know!

As you can tell, I enjoy paintball a lot. My other favourite thing is computing. I'm happiest when I'm at a computer -- especially if that's a Unix machine with a nice fast network connection. I'm an avid Linux and xBSD user, but I also dabble in Solaris.

By education, I'm a physicist. I have a degree in Physics and Mathematics from the http://www.uvic.ca">University of Victoria, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. By trade, however, I'm a computer guy. I've been hired by http://www.segasoft.com">SegaSoft as a Systems Administrator for their new Dreamcast network. Within a few weeks, I hope to receive my Visa so that I can start my new job!
