That only goes to show that there is a huge world of music out there. You've only scratched the surface!
No...not all of it is good...but you'd be surprised what you would like, if you give it a chance!
These are old US Country artists. But then theres' the Bluegrass of Bill Monroe and Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs!
Excuse me...I guess thats' pretty much a local thing.
Ever heard of Jim Croce.....Jimmy Buffet?
Charlie Daniels?
Just for s**ts and giggles.....how 'bout the group "Stix"?

Styx? They're the only one you've mentioned that I've ever heard of before!
Yes, the music world is vast! I'd have to be an old person with hundreds of CDs, cassettes and whatever new revolutionary technology will come up next, to be able to scratch the surface of blues, HM or whatever! I need more money *^_^*
Blaze Bayley has his first solo album coming out late May. Do I need to say who Blaze Bayley is

And I'm a young geezer!
What bands was the guy in then? Any more than two?

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Apr 30, 2000
Oh, hang on, that means i DO need to explain who he is. Ok.
Blaze Bayley's real name is Bayley Cook. When he was young him and his mates made up Goth names for each other and Bayley's stuck.
To my knowledge, Bayley's twobands were Wolfsbane (1988-1993) and Iron Maiden ('93-'99). Wolfsbane were pretty hot, apparently. Maiden are, of course, the hottest thing around
In Maiden Bayley rubbed shoulders with the likes of Nicko McBrain and Janick Gers. Nicko's real name is Michael. Janick's is Janick.
After Maiden Bayley went on to a slo career, and is soon to release his first album.
Actually, Bruce Dickinson left Maiden for a slo career, as did Adrian Smith. Bruce did well, Adi didn't quite

Thanks! In rock I have a nasty habit of knowing the band, but not the members!
Solo careers launched from successful group identities rarely fare well. I wish him luck!

Silicone Messiah, I think his first album's called...I wanna buy it
I wonder if he'd come down to Plymouth for a gig or something? Only small bands come to Plymouth. Bayley is a big name but the band is very new, so I'm wondering...

Remember this Mike A??
(So you haven't changed this name to Quorthon?!?)
Well I didn't do anything stoopid in the end!
I threw loads of stuff everywhere but that was it!
Anyway, Fairly Strange have you ever heard of
a 70's singer called Nick someone (perhaps
with a surname beginning with "ole" or at
least with that in it!)
And that's to anyone actually. He was most likely
to be American - could be British though!!
Thanks - Trinity xxx

Hmmm? Should I change this name to Quorthon? Have things really progressed so badly for me to do that? Well...

I can't recal a "Nick". I'll give it some thought.
Do you, by chance, know any of his work?.....Might help jog the ol' brain-box!
