Haven't seen you around for a long time. I remember those happier days of h2g2's olden days when everyone went nuts trying to pronounce your name. I remember mostly because it was by co-inky-dinks, just around that time that I found an actual coelacanth fossil in a slab of river rock. Approx 50 millions years old!
Anyway, just wanted to let you know I've been following the thread about doing an A-level assignment on 'a shrink of your choosing' and have seen the unwarranted abuse heaped upon you. I completely agree that you saw a need and responded to it because you have the knowledge and experience to help. And then other 'experts' try to belittle your efforts. There's a lot of that around here lately, but some of us soldier on. It helps to occassionally be reminded that saner heads often lurk.

Thank you for your kind words! I saw no point in remaining in the thread, I'd rather just shrug it off than get into an argument. It's all fine though, as the student has now left me a message and if she has any other questions she can ask me directly.
Yes, like you I'm a bit of an old timer round here! I'm actually here a lot, but living up to my namesake who also managed to stay hidden for a few million years. And people should never forget, the one thing about lurkers is that we probably *have* read the backlog!
If you don't spot me it's because I usually read h2g2 when logged out and mostly only log in when I actually have something to say. It's a policy that a few of the hotter heads round here could do with using, because by the time they had entered their name and password they might have gone off the boil a bit. I like to read intelligent debate with points well made and yours is a name I often see in my favourite lurking places.
