Introduction
Hello. I'm Wendellnc mostly because my name is Wendell and I live in North Carolina, U.S. I'm 58 and share a small cottage with my wife of 30 years and our canine associate, a German Shepherd Dog named Walker. The cottage sits on the shoreline of a large lake north of Charlotte, NC.
My wife works for a home design company and spends most of her time in NYC. I do not work because I am lazy and worthless. Well, I do write grant proposals and edit poetry on Zoetrope.com but nobody pays me for it. I used to read a lot and have a couple of diplomas on the wall of my study but said reading is temporarily put on hold in anticipation of cataract surgery.
No politics of which I am aware, no particular religion and no fervent feelings about anything except German Shepherd Dogs and beer. I like both. I write and edit poetry and sometimes grant proposals.
Otherwise, I'm just a normal Southernor. Kind of a polymath but I don't think it shows too much. I don't see a place to put up a picture of myself but that's probably just as well. It might scare small children.
