Getting Engaged

My beloved boyfriend and I have just got engaged, and I'm personally very happy about it.
Being a normal (I think) human being, the first thing I did was go and tell all my friends about it, thinking to myself "they'll all be happy for me" - man, am I naïve!!! Yeah, sure they're happy, I get all kinds of comments like "Damn you, now I'M gonna have to ask my girl friend..." or "My boyfriend's too mean to ask me... Yes you are!!..."
