Oh my WORD you are NOT gonna believe what happened yesterday!!!!!

I'm standing in the queue in Our Price with a copy of the single in my hand, waiting to pay for it when the guy behind me in the queue says "well done for buying that!", I turn around to see Fletch, who is NONE OTHER THAN SKANDAL'S TOUR MANAGER!!!!!! What's more he told us Skandal were gonnna be on Essex FM doing a live interview tonight, so he wanted to know our names so he could get them to give us a mention, and when I said I post on their message board as Katsy, he said "oh so YOU'RE katsy!" He even knew who I was!!!!!!!!

So that evening at 8:30pm, me and my friend trotted down to Essex FM in a hope of meeting Skandal, and we saw Matt and Matty in the basement window, and I phoned up the radio station telling them to look out the window to see us waving, and he said "we're 4 floors under the floor!", it turned out Matt and Matty went upstairs to the coffee machine and got locked out, (there's a secrity code to get into the studio), so that's why we heard Darren and James for ages, so I told him I didn't know cos the signal on my walkman is rubbish. Annoyingly enough when I hang up the phone he says (the DJ this is) says "the signal is beamed up to a satellite in space and back down again. And she's standing outside the back door". He is so damn lucky I didn't hear him say that until I heard the recording when I got home.......I phoned him up on his show again tonight and he said he saw me and is annoyed I didn't say hello. There's always next time!

So finally, the moment we'd been waiting for (and by now we were freezing cold) the guys come out of the radio station, with the tour manager and the DJ, and there's a return shouts of "OI OI!!!!!" before they come over to greet us! there was only 5 of us which meant we could talk to them for longer.......James actually came over to talk to us and even asked me if I live nearby! Heh heh! Anyway, by tomorrow the pics should be doing the rounds. You'll get to see them real soon!

I checked her space and it appears she hasn't been there since July Maybe I'll e-mail her, actually I think I did the other day.......

And Skandal got to a wopping number 53 in the charts. Conspiracy alert. They were number 1 in the Essex top 20 this week

BTW, are Skandal an Essex based band/are you Essex based ? - I guess Shim must be quite close to London, given the Guides offices ...

However, 53 in the national charts is not bad, have they moved up any more recently ?

Skandal live a 20 minute walk from my house! Yeah, I/we live in Essex, the heart of it as well Infact I was in the road that joins onto their road earlier and I think I saw their car!!!!!!

They didn't move up, infact they completely slipped out the charts Never mind, already us fans are campagning what song we want them to release next.....in all the polls people have set up the same song has been winning....I voted for it too, and my word I think if they do enough promo for it then it's got "HIT" written all over it!

The DJ said something last night which I didn't think about....he said maybe they'll re-release Champagne Highway later on next year and it will top the charts.....that song is really good and number 53 DOESN'T do it any justice! It has to at least go top 10, I mean-COME ON!

Up the Skandals !

What they really need is some publicity, (a good 'skandal' would probably help !), get their name in the tabloid comics.
