Lidl are sending me St Trinians 2 from the film club.
My son's choice and judging by the amount of leg on the advertising poster I would say the living room is going to be hogged all weekend
Still at least its got David Tennant in it for the girls

Never heard of anyone of them Mos - will check them out. Always on the look out for good films.
We run a fairly democratic family about films/games etc so the kids got their choices.
Hence the Twighlight Saga for Teenager and his choice: St Trinians
Im sure the long legs in stockings is the only reason
I checked today - Lidl doesn't have Human Centipede for some reason

Your bound to have heard of 'Up' PSD no? The animated one about the old guy and something to do with balloons on houses.
And The Human Centipede was just released in the cinema a few weeks back so no DVD for a wee while there

'Exit Through The Gift Shop' (2010)
This is a highly enjoyable documentary about street art and street artists, made by Banksy. I've read a few theories about people saying it's all a big fake, or 'it's one big joke on the art world' but I'm not buying those and I'm taking it as 'mostly' genuine. The film is about Thierry Guetta, an eccentric frenchman in L.A who goes about filming street artists. He is really interested in Banksy and does get to meet (and film) him as part of this process. Thierrys' filming eventually leads to his own documentary called 'Life Remote Control' which is unwatchable so Banksy takes his footage, tells Thierry he wil make the film (ending up being this one) and sends Thierry back to L.A telling him to make some art, which he kind of does, in spectacular fashion. It's interesting as if it is mostly genuine then it's just a great story well told, and if it is one big joke on the art world then thinking or knowing that won't make it any less enjoyable.

'Away We Go' (2009)
A couple expectant with their first child are re-evaluating their lives and decide to travel to various places around the U.S, looking for a place to settle into family life and they arrange to stay with cousins, old friends etc. Sounds a bit dull, and to be honest, not a lot happens but sometimes those are the best films as it's left to the script and the actors to bring character to the characters and there are a good few colourful characters in this and that's what makes it great. I've had the soundtrack to this film for ages (mostly by Alexi Murdoch) and I really like it but I think this was the first time I'd watched a film whilst already being familiar with it's soundtrack and i'm sure that was one of the reasons I liked it so much, the soundtrack works really well in this. It's feel good stuff and there's a few laughs as you go. Nice work!

"The Mist"
Film adapted from a Stephen King novel, and done very well i think, the film focuses on a small town in america after a heavy storm has just hit, the town is sent into chaos as the fire service, police and army are thrown into action, but something doesnt seem right as a thick mist comes rolling in from the mountains, a group of towns folk are held up in the local convience store collecting supplys as everyone fears the worst, blocked in the store by the thick mist and stories of strange creatures in the mist, everyone begins to panic. As the film unfolds it begins to reveal human nature at its worst as the group are divided through fear, religion, arrogance and conspiracy, with some really amazing visuals and some mad creature designs the film is a pretty good adaptation and very entertaining and the end of the film is one of the most shocking ends i have ever seen, lovers of horror, suspence and sfx will enjoy!!!

"Date Night"
Steve Carolls best performance since 40yr old virgin in my opinon, the film is about a run of the mill couple from the suburbs, with the same routine day in day out, wake up, sort kids out, go to work, home, sleep and repeat!! the only joy the couple have is a regular "date night" each week but even these have become mundane, with either a meal at the same restaurant or a movie at the same cinema, but on one occassion steves character decides that he will take the wife out for dinner in the city, so they go to a upmarket restaurant in manhatten, unfortunatly they didnt make a reservation, but as luck may have it, they end up stealing a reservation from a no show couple in doing this they are mistaken as a couple who have stolen something from a very prolific member of the government, on the run from the police, gansters and the restaurant, the date night turns into one they will never forget, with plenty of laughs and a fair share of action and romance, this film will entertain all members of the family
