Much as Our fearless leader Mr Adams must have started out, I find myself making a TV series for the BBC- only my tedious little childrens cartoon is unlikely to have the same long range appeal- to this or about this, I can only say, sorry, its someone else's problem.
The show is geared to little kids, and before pencil hits paper, the Censorship Gestapo had landed-sorry, no guns, no tits, no double entendres-no fun. I mean, these little elf type guys can't even have a wooden match in their room, even though one of the characters SLEEPS in a matchbox!! Ah well, the price you pay to draw for a living.
Anyway, the whole thing is just a gonna be cute as hell, just what the audiences of the world always wanted...we do get a laugh or two in there once in awhile, usually in the actor's out-takes.

Mok, where's the Danger in life? I know we have to protect kids but the kid gloves we use seem to get thicker and thicker. A friend of mine wrote/writes scripts for 'Rugrats' and 'Rocko's(?) Modern Life' and he suffers much the same as you with 'directions' from the Paymasters. Creativity and risk are two things we seem to try and eliminate from this world and yet all those with mega bucks probably only got it because they risked being 'on the edge'.
More power to your pencil !
