Hello
I grew up listening to, reading and watching the Hitchhiker's Guide. Now I think about it, it explains a lot about my personality defects.
Like, why on earth I'd sit typing an entry into a web page. God - what an anorak.
Aside from our wardrobe deficiencies, the thing that you and I have in common is the desire to know everything about everything. Well, perhaps a little about everything. Not because we want to shine at 'Pursuits or pub quizes (who wants to wear a T-Shirt with a caption on?), but just because somewhere out there there's a piece of information that will help us get through the madness and maze that is modern life.
The only pursuit that matters is to keep turning over the stones until you find that diamond.
Of course, our diamonds will be different.
The other great appeal of H2G2 is that Douglas Adams is AWFUL with deadlines (I read once). That speaks to me with the resonance of an amplified double bass.
All of which is a tiny glimmer into who I am. Now - who are you?

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
