Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear }

I say again, ... the bear has landed. There is simply the cutest koala sitting on my coffee table, looking very macho and studly. Thank you so very much.

I will soon re-package him, and send him along to Little Lady Mackenzie, letting her Mommy know just exactly where he comes from. smiley - hug

The boys recently took up archery and seem to really enjoy it so we have bought them bows and arrows for Christmas and have bought the gear to set up a couple of target areas at the edge of the property away from the house and peoplesmiley - erm

They wont be aloud to shoot unless I am with them until they are older, I have been taking them to a place two townships away once a fortnight with saome other hoemschoolers and they have proven pretty sensible so far. I must admit I would really like to have a go but I need to stay alert as one of the odler boys who tends towards the absent minded professor type likes to load his bow and then turn around to talk to you while drawing back on the string EEEEEcccckkkk smiley - evilgrin

Well I am beat I found myself nearly nodding off on the way home so its a handful of nuts for me I know not the most sustaining dinner and off to bed I go Hey Ho Hey Ho,

Which reminds me in answer to you question the bear had been to America as well as Canada and a couple of places I couldn't read juging from the frank marks if i had thougth about it I should have put the wrapping in the box so you gandaughter knows his history better worn her he's one of Lee Marvins group born under a wandering starsmiley - winkeye

Even in our military, we had folks that would wave a loaded rifle around. It's a damned scarey thing to be near. So I can really appreciate your standing by and keeping an eye on things.

And did you have to mention Lee Marvin? I've had that silly tune stuck in my head all through the work-day. smiley - groan

Have you ever thought of running for politics yourself? You seem to do so little, have so much free time in a day, I'm sure that you could manage running a small country as well. smiley - doh

smiley - runsmiley - runsmiley - runsmiley - runI am rebelling I am smiley - runsmiley - run away from both painting and ironingsmiley - runsmiley - run mind you as my middle son would point out that in order to be successful I actually have to stage a revolution rather than a rebellion as rebellions are merely unsuccessful revolutions… he’s pretty smart for a 10 year old…problem is I am not sure what to revolutionise or how without creating more work for me…speaking of work I think I may be soon to add something else too I think I volunteered today to establish a lobby group for home facilitated learning in this state to counter a group in the East who seem somewhat wacko and frankly dangerous to the continued well being of home schoolers in general….smiley - runsmiley - runsmiley - runsmiley - run what I really need is smiley - chocsmiley - chocsmiley - chocsmiley - choc however my trip to the city yesterday saw me visiting my GP who said no smiley - chocsmiley - choc for me for at least a month while he rebalances some of my bodys functions......joys of menopause smiley - wahsmiley - wah mind you if it sdoes away with hot flushes I can easy forgo smiley - chocsmiley - choc Oh well think I will vege in front of the goggle box or maybe try and communicate with my life partner i am sure I saw him skulking somewhere in teh back groundsmiley - erm seems llike ages since he and I had a chance to interface properly too much happening this time of year.... definitely not good for marriagessmiley - erm yes that sit I shall organise by revolution around avoinding this traffic jam of activities for next year ...how about I skip 2008 and just jump straight to 2009 what do you thinksmiley - winkeye

That lad is pretty clever, eh? I think you ought to plot and scheme a rebellious revolution. That'll catch 'em all off-guard. smiley - evilgrin

Goodness, girl, you're in 'that time of life' already? To my general understanding, I'd have thought you young for it. Mind, my lovely missus began at about age 32 ... some of it coming down from generations of women in her mother's line, some perhaps aggravated by having allowed military surgeons inside her. Messing about with some of that specific plumbing. Her inital treatment, since no-one believed it, was the most junior measure of birth-control tabs. Since a total hysterectomy (our 10th anniversary gift) she has employed some herbal items to keep most bothers to a minimum. Evening primrose was one, I forget the other. And I don't find them where I would normall expect to, so perhaps she has discontinued ... And never mentioned it. smiley - erm

I had my plumbing rewired 9 years ago after our last child hence the early menopause apparanetly it is quite common when you mess around with your insides .....personally I think its better to deal with this stuff now while I am young rather than older when I will have less stamina..... I too am on primrose oil, fish oil, two mega intense multi vitamins that cost more than the current gold price smiley - yikes and enzymes while refraining from potato, pasta, rice and chocolate apprently this should have the desired result of say jump starting your car battery when its flat.......okay you can stop rolling around on the ground laughing now....smiley - rofl

Well the outcome of last night was a small fight with hubby smiley - steam followed by a productive conversation afterwards that is seeing us both make concrete plans to spend more time with each othersmiley - smooch....

He is also making time for our youngest each week which put a smile on his dialsmiley - biggrin....Christmas is my favourite time of year but it is also without a doubt very stressful if you over schedule or don't plan properlysmiley - erm

Well another day dawns and the mongol hoardes bolstered by three more are surging across the balconey towards me insisting our day begin...little do they know I got up at 5.00 just so I could have some think a thought all the way through enjoy that first cup of coffee in peace time before their invasionsmiley - winkeye

That sounds like quite a diet of supplements you're on ... Do you ever splurge and eat food too? smiley - laugh

We tend to blow up at each other once or twice a year. Never anything hurtful, but a good measure of steam and stuff comes out that tends to accumulate. Maybe it's good for us, 'coz things are always much calmer and nicer after.

Well that was a day and a half and now another new day has begun....only one more sleep until our big extravaganza

I have no idea how many people will be here and I have yet to finish the baking, I think 50 fruit mince pies ought to do it along with the fudge and Christmas cake smiley - tongueout

It seems like ages since we saw 25C ... In fact today was the first day in a week that the temp saw single digits, even if it was still negative. it felt like jacket-less weather. It's amazing how fast we acclimatize, eh?

I can only wish you a fabulous show and gathering. And enough time and energy to enjoy it with everyone, instead of working yourself ragged.

Well here we are on the other side ....smiley - ok

Imagine if you will over 50 people scattered through out the orchard eating picnic suppers while crickets clicked and banjo frogs ribbeted
the wind was just enough to keep the mozzies at bay
stars twinkling over headsmiley - magic
While the South African lucene trees shimmered with fairy lights
and all the while smiley - magic children performing one after the other....smiley - magic

Then afterwards we trooped up to the house and ate panetone, fudge and Christmas cake smiley - cake while laughing and talking and then all of a sudden adults were taking it in turns to recite their favourite smiley - blush pieces of poetry from childhood off the cuff

I got up early this moring and made breakfast for the oldest who had to head back to the city for a course hes doing and then I made rasberry muffins, mushies and onions, leeks and squash, asparagus sausages, bacon, frittatta and scrambled eggs for breakfast, for all those who slept over and boy did we have a full house last night plus one caravan

I have spent most of the afternoon sleeping after our last guest left
and still I could sleepsmiley - zzz

Well nothing to do now except relax and look forward to Christmassmiley - biggrin
