Especially as you actually increased the LD percentage by a 3rd

I think his victory was a triumph of extremely hard work on his team's part over the complacency of the previous MP. People keep talking about Iraq and students and stuff like that, but looking at other similar constituencies, I don't think that accounted for the whole swing here.
Good luck for getting in as a councillor in next time around.
