Why do Christmas cards show so many snow scenes, when in reality we are often fighting persistant rain and drizzle?

Would *you* send out cards with rain and drizzle on them, and buses splashing black mud up peoples clothes?

I'm a real humbug about Christmas, I actually genuinely dislike it. I'd be very tempted to buy rainy cards or fighting relative ones, but I have to resist my great desire to point out what a load of baloney I think Christmas is, and go along with it with it like everyone else. I'm still hoping that the anti-Christmas revolution *will* take place sometime though...

Also, snowmen are more fun than rainmen. If you wanted to put a rainman on your card, you'd have to ask Dustin Hoffman, and there'd be all sorts of copyright problems.

And another thing - we are often fighting persistant rain and drizzle through the summer, what makes it so Christmassy?

Good Point EV!
Maybe Christmas cards should go for that really cold lashing rain on the cards, that's the type I really hate...

That's an idea, I could take some pictures, make cards out of them and sell them.
Who wants to pose for design number one, "Christmas shopper fighting against torrential rain and gale force winds, sick of being jostled by other shoppers and ready to kill someone the next time they hear Cliff Richard"?

Do you have any of the 'Shit but very expensive moulded plastic toys heavily marketed to your kids which will fall apart after ten minutes of light play' cards?

Not at the moment, they're sold out. I'm expecting more in on Thursday.
Can I interest you in "Badly wrapped parcel from an elderly relative which you know is Quality Street even though you tell her every year that you don't like Quality Street"?
