The first time I was in Charleston, SC my wife and I decided to take a taxi into town instead of driving ourselves.

We had one of those fun cabbies who loved showing off his town.

He asked us if we knew why the people of the tidewater were like the Chinese?

The answer was 'We all love rice and worship our ancestors.'

actually, we HAVE had snow (up north and on't hills etc, a cold wave from the Russian part of north

the weather news was a laugh todaya cold front from the north, sandwiching a clear patch mid country and warm front from south BUT it might all change ? another front from the Atlantic

bloody northern front won

The weather knows how interested you all are in it, and tries to show off whenever possible.

having been a (started out as a joiner) tv engineer and then in the chemical industry I've always worked outside, the weather means nothing to me in a way. The only time I don't like the coldis when I can't use my fingers and my ears get cold

but now age-wise - ice etc for walking on

Yeah, it makes sense to be careful.

in winter (proper ones) when in the chemical set up, I've had to climb pulling a steam hose up 30ft or more onto the gantry's to steam the pipes carrying the effluent to the plant I worked on, because they were freezing up it was a sight to behold - watching ice crystals forming in the air(2pm till 10pm) BUT! always glad when the shift ended for the hot showers

That I can believe.

My bro in law used to work outdoors, and got frostbite. He's careful to wrap up now.

Toes. He still has problems if it gets too cold.

But today, it's more likely to get too hot.
