according to that site - there were 2 mints doing themand the smaller mint stamped the "S" on.
But as a afterthought I'll call in a jewelers shop in town and ask the going rate for scrap valueA few year ago, I got a good deal on a couple of gold rings and necklaces that were bust

Check with a coin dealer first, though.

The letters, I think...indicate which mint it was. There are/were several, as I recall. Though I'm no numismatist, and was never terribly interested.

I have some brit coins and some have small letters designating not done by royal mint, but lesser ones

We've had a day. Got up early to go to doctor's appointment. Then had to wait at pharmacy. Then got to church just at the end of Bible study, because Sis wanted to meet us there. Besides, you have to have lunch with the local retired folk and chat.

Then I spent the afternoon taking everybody grocery shopping. We just got home a short while ago. We also went to the car wash, and then at home, my sister figured out how to retrieve the DVD I had stuck in the old player - and figured out how to hook up the new one. So we've been busy.

And tomorrow morning, I have to do it again - take Elektra to HER appointment.

supper, followed by a good film and with Elektra while watching - then a good sleep period to recharge then eh!
