h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Thought I'd drop by and say hello, as we've donemost of our talking on Terri's journals which are now closed. I'd unsubbed from the "Eyes" thread after Terri did, as I've noticed one of h2g2 regular trolls, (who has many akas, including Shiftyscot, Shiftshug, etc) has been frequenting there. He is a real troublemaker, and without Terri there to update us on stuff, I figured I'd rather chat with everyone elsewhere.

So, it seems that caring about a very dear friend and not wanting to see that person continually screwed over has cost me the friendship. I guess it's a chance we all take, but I can't sit idly by and watch someone I care for be hurt and mistreated.

Anyway, I enjoy talking with you very much, so thought I'd leave a note here for you to say hi and ask you to keep in touch.

I haven't been getting online as much lately, and anticipate having even less time to do so within the next few weeks. RL keeps me very busy these days, which is a good thing, but I will be around as much as time allows.

Yes I agree, it is hard trying to give advice, without seeming to dictate. After Terri had asked everyone not to mention viking, I stayed out, but I think that the pressure Terri was/is under and (with no disrespect to anyone)everyone wanting to put their views across, things got a little out of hand.
Terri will be back, when she has unwound a bit. I hate it when friends fall out,in some cases over trivial things, but that is life.
I also feel deep respect for some of you who have revealed part of your own personal lives, it takes great strength and it shows, that what ever is happening, we are never alone, with friends about, who care.
At 5ft 3ins, I'm not big, but my shoulder is, for any friend who needs it to lean on for a while.

Yeah, I just got a bit confused, what with her first asking us not to mention him, but then she herself leaving long postings about him in her journal... as if we overly protective and outspoken people, who are all imperfect ourselves, could keep quiet about it!

Ah well, everything in its time, I s'pose.

I will try hard not to let work take over, money worries now on account of going to the ER Thursday night with severe asthma: I don't know how I'll pay the bill, might be able to scroung up $100 a month if they are willing to work out a payment plan. I've got to get these credit cards dealt with, they're costing me about $500 or $600 a month and none of it ever goes to the principal. Bloody banks!!

Well 'nuff babbling on my part... I'll be watching for you, and if I may add you to my friends list so I can converse with you via your journal entries?

friends list, I treat that as a compliment and will be honoured, I would also like to do the same.
I hope you are able to bring the asthma under control and I can understand expences with medical bills in the States.

PC, can you please explain the removal of your ID from friends list thing, I can work out that someone has said a bad thing, don't know where and I will not pry, but I personaly do not want to lose you as a friend, so on this thread as well, in my p/space near the bottom, is an email address, I use for first contact, please call me on it,then I reply with my true email addy.

Two years ago I asked some people to remove me from their friends lists because we are not friends. They are friends of a slimy sociopath who borrowed over $1000 from me and never paid me back, who talked badly about me to friends to the point that I lost some of those friends, and who harrassed me for months on here and by email. I finally got that person to stop bothering me maybe six months ago or so. And his friends still spy on me on my journal!

Every six months or so I freak out about it. And recently, another h2g2 friend has had some privacy issues and I freaked out again.

I do not want to see you remove me from your friends, nor will I remove you from mine. And I will still be around h2g2. But I will take you up on your offer and save your email address anyway!

PC, I thank you, I would only remove anything if you personaly asked. The words I'd like to put can not be printed about how you have been treated. I would love email contact, for that personal touch and privacy. As you will have seen in my p/space and on threads/posts, I am honest and loyal to my friends, you are my friend. Nothing else need be said
