I read something similar to that in a fantasy novel I read a long time ago....and it does make sense

I'm not sure, but I think it might have been one of Aesop's fables ?

Would not know..the novel I read was based in an alternate world version of Nippon..all the legends and myths were true there..

who needs Confucius for wisdom, we are here

I have a few philosophy books.."The Prince,Confucius'Analects,The Art of War"..I have read some..but some I haven't even tried to get to...

last book I read was 2001 space oddesty years ago

I read the latest Inspector Lynley novel a few months back..since then not much else except reading the newspapers occasionally..

due to my shape, I have found it always uncomfortable to sit and hold a book, so over the years, reading never was a strong point- learnt at school and over the years to read of course
