A touch on the Electra complex. Electra was the daughter and youngest child of Klytemnestra and Agamemnon, considered "accursed by the Gods" (gone mad) after Agamemnon murdered Iphigenia (Klytemnestra's daughter by her first husband) to secure the inheritance of the kingdom, which was vested in Klytemnestra, for his children by Klytemnestra, Orestes and Electra; Klytemnestra hired a hit man to kill Agamemnon to avenge the murder of Iphigenia; Orestes murdered Klytemnestra to avenge the death of Agamemnon.

Electra and Orestes afterward wandered the land as outcasts.

Many people think that the Electra complex is a female counterpart of the Oedipus complex. Actually, its not gender specific and typical examples are the orphan girls who incited the Salem Witch Hunts.
