An ongoing journey
Sired by Viking parents, Megan inherited a gypsy spirit and, as a result, has travelled to most countries of the world, includ89ng West Africa, India, the southern hemisphere and the South Pacific islands. Metropolitan cities she avoids, preferring grassroots, off-the-beaten path places. She has lived in the Arabian Gulf for some 18 years and currently lives in Turkey along a turquoise coast of intimate bays and inlets, in the southeastern aegean, aboard a 75ft staysail schooner. Megan considers herself semi-retired these days, at the age of 56, and when necessary, charters the boat or accepts bed and breakfast guests. Also when necessary, in the winter months of November through February, she flys to a “civilised” country to write for a woman’s magazine. Megan has married a few times which means she never gives up on anything, including men. Through experience her imagination soars through articles about health and beauty, unique weddings (marrying on a passionate red caboose, skiing down a mountainside), and honeymoon venues. Life used to be taken seriously. Now, oftentimes without a penny in her pocket, what truly matters is quality, the journey versus the destination, and friends gained along the road.
