Hi Krunchy... how's life?
I was talking to Big Mad Mr T and he suggested a game of UT/Q3 or something with H2G2 people. Up for it? Do you know who else might be interested?
Oh yes I think I said at some point I'd do a Unreal Tournament review *sheepish grin* do you still want one?

I would love to play a game of ut or q3 against other h2g2ers, if you set a date and time I will try to be there!
I was wondering what happened to the UT review its been so long even I've got the game now!

The main reason why I haven't given a review to you yet is that I haven't got Quake III or any of the other main contenders. I think a review would be more accurate if it compared UT with them.

In my opnion ut is much better than q3, whilst not as good graphically the game play is much better. Have you played any of the assualt missions, overlord is excellent! I love the snipers rifle in ut you can kill ppl with one shot to the head, and if you get a patch you can kill them with one shot to the groin (if you get enough ppl this way you become the crotchmaster!!!), the expandability of ut is far better than q3 as well with dozens of mods aleady underway, they are planning to implement drivable vehicles in some mods. All in All a class product.

I live in the US. I live in the Central Standard Time Zone. Around 9:00pm my time is when we usually play. My fiancee has downloaded several unique maps. He sets up a server, and there are three of us that play. Would this be good for you?

let me see, 9pm, that would make it 3am over here? I couldn't make that during the week, but I might be able to at the weekend. During the week I'm available from 7pm to 12am GMT, 1pm to 6pm CST(it is -6 hours right?).

I'm up for a game of UT anytime tho'; but I think my connection is only about 48Kbps so it may be a little slow.

Math and silly old me don't always get along together. But, 1 to 6 should be great sometime. In fact, if you see this today, write me back, and we'll get a game going tonight. 5:00pm my time- 11:00pm your time if your figuring is correct.
My fiancee loves UT, but I haven't played yet.
Although it is very expensive, I have a cable modem with a T1/Lan connection, whatever that means. If you have access, you really should try it. My ping times are excellent.
In fact, I watch for you, and we could play now...

okay, tonight I'll try and get on for tonight at 11, I'll probably be down my friends house, but thats no problem, we'll have to decide on a server, it'd wouldn't be worth me hosting since its only a 56k modem!
Peregrin we could get a game of UT on the go earlier or maybe over the weekend sometime, although I'm moving this weekend so that maybe a little difficult, what do you think?

Honestly it wasn't my fault, my friend was too busy playing battlezone to let me go on quake. I've moved houses as well over easter, I should have a net connection by the end of the week. I'll let you know when I can try for another game!
