Something odd happened the other day. I had my buddie list turned on, and it showed who I thought was you coming on, and I sent them a note. They wrote back "who dis?" which didn't sound like you at all. So I told them "my mistake". I deleted the profile, and re-entered your address, but it told me there was no profile. Could that be because you moved?

I went and saw fight club at the cinema down in plymouth, it was mental!! As far as action films go it was in a league with the matrix and terminator. I wouldn't mind if someone pulled off something like that with the credit companies as long as they wiped out my student loan!!!

I've only just got a CC to play with! I haven't seen any other movies like fight club or the matrix recently, I watched american pie on dvd the other day. Have you seen the Faculty? that was quite funny!
I'm recovering from a major server crash here at work, my machine died and I had to reinstall everything from the os up (not good on a web server really). Any how, c ya on monday!

Don't use it! Get a check card from your bank. It works the same way. Except it comes directly out of your account. No debt!

Do you guys use Macs at work? I know most design is done on them, isn't it?

would you believe me if I said we only had 1 mac in our office!!! Most of the designers would much prefer to be using macs, but they are stuck with pc's for the moment

Arrrghh, I have just setup my server here at work twice, it keeps crashing out on me
I just do the setup mostly, The designers do all the graphics. I'm just waiting for BT to get back to me about setting up the phone line before I can get online at home.

lol, yep just as soon as I get BT sorted out, they've gotta send me a letter to get some id to prove I am who I say I am and that I'm living in my new house, apparently the last person who lived there ran up a huge bill and didn't pay it!!!
It'd be good if someone else would lend me a computer and a net connection to play, but I don't think thats gonna happen, so I will just have to wait for BT to get their act together.
Your gonna beat me anyhow when we get into this game, so lag won't matter too much!

How do you figure I'll beat you?

Well I've played ppl online before at Q3 and I always get beaten, which is quite weird since whenever I play my friends on a lan I normally win. Guess I'm just not quite up to the mark yet!!

I have the exact opposite problem. Often when I play online, I nail it. But, when I play with my fiancee and his best friend, they always beat me. It's kind of disconcerting! Sometimes I think they don't believe me when I tell them I won other games!
Did you go to fileplanet and get skins and maps and stuff? Or, where do you go?

My favourite website has to be http://www.planetquake.com and all the other gamespy sites. They all link to fileplanet to most of those files, and to other websites (mods,skins,maps that sort of thing). I found that http://www.bluesnews.com was pretty good as well.
As far as I'm aware there are no good .co.uk sites like these.
Normally when I want to grab some quake stuff, I ftp into sunsite where they have a uk mirror of cdrom.com is it? anyhow they have hundreds of quake related files there, so I just download the whole lot and take them home on zip.
