You call that a spud?
An official report I made up yesterday confirms a frightening suspicion of mine, the common potato is indeed getting smaller. Once world renown as 'those big brown things you throw at people' these wonders of nature have gradually decreased in size to an average of only 50cm! Many Greek legends tell of spuds almost 5' wide and as tall as a man.
The potato has played a vital part in the history of such countries as Ireland and Hungary, providing a staple diet for many grateful families. Because of this I fell it is only fair to continue genetic engineering and restore the hallowed potato to their rightful size, glory and shape (kind of JBBean shaped in fact.)
To see the stunning evidence I have created a web site devoted to them, so see for yourself at please search for 'new potatoes' to view the freaks.
