Researcher Notes
Trying to keep a journal up-to-date is sort of like herding cats.
First there is the paper to find once you have an idea. Then, once you have found the paper, you discover that the pen you have has been out of ink--probably for years, as it has a friendly advert on its side, reading 'Welcome to the World's Fair 1982.' You dig up a pencil, only to find it's point is broken. Unable to find a pencil sharperner, you dig a knife up in the kitchen to sharpen the pencil.
Once you return from the Emergency Room, you cannot find the paper or the half-sharpened and slightly bloody pencil, but it really does not matter--you have forgotten what your original idea was in the first place.
Makes the rest of the universe seem ever so safe.
More entries to come once I find a good pencil and . . . oh, never mind.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
