In the real world, everything is fine and dandy.
In Simsville, my wife is sleeping around and I think my kid and I have lost all respect for her.
Sims2 is slow but stable with old video drivers and 256mb ram. With new drivers and an additional 512 mb ram, damn thing crashes when loading.
I know there are support groups for this.
What are you looking forward to this holiday season?

TBC Posted Nov 1, 2004
I would say the holiday itself, but I know I'm going to get a lot of work to do over the holidays I think one thing I am really looking forward to is hearing back from Universities as to whether or not they'll take me next year. I am really starting to look forward to Uni now so knowing where will have me will be nice!
What about yourself?

There was I thinking you'd say something light hearted like "World of Warcraft."
University is serious business. I was one of the last generation under the grant system before Thatcher got her evil hands on it.
Who's on your shortlist?
Figured out my Sims problem - ram should always be doubled, never tripled or quintupled. 128 - 256 - 512 etc. There's some magic in those numbers. Adding 512 to 256 makes some games blow up.
Looking forward to Ace Combat 5. AC4 was great, but too short. Replayed it several times to unlock the extras.
Is there a decent PS2 rugby game or, dare I ask, cricket? The first EA rugby game was very enjoyable, but visually very basic. Subsequent versions have not been well received.

I'm not sure. I don't really follow Rugby so I'm not too interested in the games when they come out. I have a friend who has some rugby games though, so I'll ask him if he knows of any.
I'm keeping an eye on AC5. I have the first two (shows how long I've been playing video games for ) but stopped buying them after that; like you I felt they were too short and I didn't have the cash to buy a game that wouldn't take me that long.
I've applied to 6 universities; Cambridge, Warwick, East Anglia, Manchester, York and Cardiff. So far Manchester (ABB) and East Anglia (AAB) have replied.

I was at Manchester U myself, doing postgrad teacher certification. I was also on the fencing team - happy days as a starving student.
My cousin studied engineering there.
Please don't tell me that the letters after the name indicate the required grades to get in.
No wonder I did my degree at North East London Polytechnic (called something else now). Had the time of my life there and have never regretted passing up a place at Kings College London.
Going to about the election results now, followed by plenty of , and more until I (or ).

Unofortunatly the letters in brackets after the uni names are the required grades! Very worrying for me! Oh well, such is life!
I take it you voted for kerry in the elections? I haven't really followed them myslef; have had too much on, though we did discuss it briefly in our history lesson today at school!

Very few with an IQ in three figures voted for Bush. Unfortunately, America is a stupid country.

I guess on the plus side that means you can't have him as President again after this period. Not that that is much of a consolation
