Whoopeeee!
Posted Nov 19, 2000
I bought a car this weekend! It's a blue V reg. Corsa so if you see me driving it take the following course of action:
1. GET OFF THE PAVEMENT!
2. Give us a wave (or a beep if you're in your car at the same time).
The only problem is I still haven't got my driving licence sorted out because of the stupid way the forms are worded. It doesn't make sense. Reckon I'll have to phone the DVLA to get them to translate it for me !

Happy (Belated) Halloween Everyone!
Posted Nov 1, 2000
I went out with my friends last night to a huge Halloween party in a local pub. We all dressed up in bin bags and funny hats and had a bit of a giggle. After last orders we went back to my friend Sarah's house and had green jelly with frogs in (please don't ask), and chocolate digestive biscuits with spider webs and skeletons on. Then I woke up this morning, returned to reality and went to my 9am lecture. How come my favourite module is at a time when I can't enjoy it? In fact, who was the pea brain that invented 9am letures in the first place? What on earth has any of that got to do with Halloween? Nothing so I'll give up and go for my dinner.

I was rushed into hospital at 3.30am this morning...

...with my friend who woke up with severe stomach cramps. She knocked on my door in the middle of the night and I had to take her to hospital in an ambulance. Reckon I handled the situation better this time than last. I still went into autopilot and had no control over my actions between finding Becky crouched on the floor outside my room in agony and the paramedics turning up. Looking back I think that's really wierd. It's the way that you act and think later that's unnerved me. And that's when the shock of what's happened hits you. Glad I did what I did though and if I could take back my actions I wouldn't change a thing.

You learn new things every day.

Since I've been back at uni I've learnt a very important lesson from a friend. I learnt that there is a huge difference between being immature and being childish. At my age (19), immature is bad, childish is not. Childish is fun! I reckon my friend was right and I'll always remember him for implanting that valuble thought in my head. Cheers Grant!

Bigger, better and scarier (or scaryer) stuff
Posted Oct 18, 2000
Hooray! Now that I've passed my driving test they're gonna let me loose on the motorway. I'm starting the first hour of my pass plus on Friday which should be rather hilarious. Even better than that is it's a Fiesta. I'm used to driving a VW Polo so on top of trying to figure out how you actually drive on the motorway, I've got to get used to a new car. Just keep your loved ones off the road every Friday for the next six weeks. Unless I fail that is. In which case I'd advise you to keep them off for twelve instead whilst I re-sit. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. I can not be held responsible for any fatalities or minor bumps.
