...with my friend who woke up with severe stomach cramps. She knocked on my door in the middle of the night and I had to take her to hospital in an ambulance. Reckon I handled the situation better this time than last. I still went into autopilot and had no control over my actions between finding Becky crouched on the floor outside my room in agony and the paramedics turning up. Looking back I think that's really wierd. It's the way that you act and think later that's unnerved me. And that's when the shock of what's happened hits you. Glad I did what I did though and if I could take back my actions I wouldn't change a thing.

She was born with something wrong with her kidneys which they only found out about last year. She lived with it for eighteen years with out knowing about it and it's only just started playing her up. They think that the tubes that connect them to the bladder are twisted.
Anyway, she frequently gets stomach cramps which are really painful. It's happened to her three or four times since we started back at uni but it was the first time I've ever been there so my first instinct was to call an amubulance. Since then though I've heared one or two things about Becky that have led me and a lot of other people to believe that she might be attention seeking and crying wolf.
It turned out that the ambulance was unneccesery and she refused to take the medication that they gave to her. This really annoyed me to be honest because I asked her if she wanted me to ring an ambulance and she said yes. She knew damb well that she could have got there by taxi or alternatively she has some really good friends which she didn't tell me about that would gladly have taken her in their car. She wasted ambulance time, doctor/nurse time and medication. I'm quite fed up to be honest. I've always told her that I'd be there for her if ever she needed me to help her ie in situations like this. Now I feel like she abused my 'service'. Very few people are sympathetic towards her now which is a shame because she's one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life.
