No problem about the Yankees thing. It's an argument I've had many times before, and I've grown used to it. And as an aside, I've been a Yankees fan since before I can remember; my mother is, my father is, my grandfather was, my brother and sister and nephew are... you get the point. I didn't just jump on some bandwagon because they always win. (Because -I- hate when people do that)

As for where I live *peers out window nervously for people hiding in the bushes *, I have always been reluctant to post anything too specific on the 'net, since everyone in the world has access. But I WILL say that I live in the Northeastern part of the state, about 2 hours from Philadelphia and about the same distance from New York City (maybe a bit further).

You said, I think (unless I got you confused with someone else) that you are a Phillies fan? I take it you are from Pennsylvania, or at least close by. Just a guess.

Thanks for the compliment on my page. I must admit I don't follow my own advice as often as I should. With the warmer weather coming on, I'm hoping to tear myself away from H2G2 more to have some real life fun.

Yeah, I'm Philadelphia suburbs. They're nice... or at least where I am, because my back yard is a forest. Not like the one in the picture, abd it blocks out radio and tv reception pretty badly, but I like it anyway.

Yeah, that H2G2 is pretty addictive, ain't it? I really need to get away some times... At least today I have an excuse.

I've been to a few of the Philadelphia suburbs, and agree that most of them are nice. I've been to Valley Forge, and I've been to the horse show in Devon several times. I've also driven through a few others when I've gotten lost. Haha.

I quite like Philly. I have a friend who lived in Old City (near Society Hill) for a while, in a loft he shared with someone. It was lovely, but the person he shared rent with (she used it for studio space, so he was the only one living there) needed the space for her daughter, so now he lives in Center City, I think. We used to go hang out on South Street sometimes a few years back, and I've seen quite a few shows at the Trocadero (before it came under new ownership.)

Are you in the Main Line suburbs, or more on the going-towards- Allentown side of the city? Leaving the city at rush hour and heading up the Northeast extension of the Turnpike can be nasty. Not as nasty as the Schulykill, of course. It makes driving an experience you won't likely forget, that's for sure!!

We got the rain here, too, btw.

The Expressway is absolute hell for drivers. At rush hour. But the rest of the time I kind of like it.... we'll see what happens when I start to drive.

Old(e) City is in the southeast quadrant of center city... my best friend lives there. Actually, she's a few blocks over from Old City proper, in the gay neighborhood. Which I only mention because it has such a cool name - the Fruit Loop.

My apologies about misspelling your name. I capital "i" and a small "l" look exactly the same in this font. I've read the Lord of the Rings several times, but had to go look it up to find your name. Sure enough, there you are, in "Return of the King." May I ask why you chose that name?

The "Surekill" is a bit hectic. It's the way traffic speeds along and then stops suddenly that unnerves me a bit. I like driving in New York City better. It's like a video game. Putting on your turn signal there means you WILL turn, even if you're trying to make a left from the far right lane....

Sorry about slow responses. I've found that with the longer days (can't really say "nice weather", as you've probably noticed ) I'm spending less time on H2G2. Ah, well. These things happen when real life intervenes.

I chose it because I talk a lot, and because it was the only female character, however minor, that I could relate myself to. The rest are all high and mighty, etc.

And why billypilgrim?

Ah, Billy Pilgrim is a character from a Kurt Vonnegut novel called "Slaughterhouse 5". "Listen. Billy Pilgrim has come unstuck in time." You might like Vonnegut, if you like Tolkein and (presumably) Douglas Adams. This particular novel is about a man who loses the ability to live his life in a linear fashion, and so he randomly pops in at various points in his own life. Or so HE says; his family just thinks he's gone looney. And maybe he has. Anyway, I feel a bit "unstuck" myself, sometimes, so I picked it, even though I'm female, and the name is male. I used it as my e-mail long before I found H2G2.

I've actually read Slaughterhouse V - but it was a while ago. Maybe I should reread it. And I do like Vonnegut - although I tend to confuse all his books because of the overlapping characters, and I generally can't remeber which ones I've read and haven't.
