I am living in North Wales and enjoying the country pursuit of Long Distance horse riding. I have ridden to Lake Vrynwy and back (60miles), the Pennine Bridleway (75 miles)and Mary Towneley Loop (45 miles)and most recently The Jack Mytton Way (90 miles if I hadn't broken my leg!-but acheived about 80 miles)
If I had a choice and the money I'd be out there most of the year exploring the UK. My horse is unshod, doesn't use a bit and the saddle is treeless so I'm quite proud of the distances she does.
When I'm not riding I drive for a local Taxi Company doing the school runs with a minibus. I have PCV and LGV1 licences and was a driving instructor for fifteen years. I also run an Equestrian website which supports long distance riding and is building a network UK wide of people who can offer local knowledge and help to those that visit their area with their horses.
