*finds a container full of liquid nitrogen ... starts piping it through the ventilation*

Shortly after the explosion, the lights flicker, then go out. They flicker back to life as the back-up systems come into operation. The fire alarm sounds, and the Fire suppression system starts pumping Halon into the corridors.

The LN goes into the vent opening and spills out the openings several feet on either side, surrounding the group.

just as well we are already in protective clothing

yes it is...

The halon, as well as the evaporating mist from the pools of LN, reveal the presense of a large number of laserbeams that clicked on when the backup systems woke up.
Not that the base needs to find you, though.
Several blast doors slide shut at either end of the hallways, and you hear all the doors deadbolting.

Now the LN has nowhere to get but closer.

well well
it looks like our enemy have brains after all...
now if i remember correctly thay also have extrodenaraly flimsy wooden cellings and a few broken windows....
and i wonder how much of an explosion those doors can take...

*entire complex locks down as a security measure and sends an automated call for reinforcements to the infiltrated area*

oh nice security....
*walks to the nerest door (the one that lead to the defence control room) to find it has automaticly locked*
very high tech

*small wasp-sized robots are deployed into the nearby hallways*

*throws herself against the door but it refuses to yeald*

the pool of LN is taking away most of the places to stand...hope you can tapdance.

well i did a little dancing at school...
*hits the door again*

*kicks the door and finaly it brakes open*
* inside the room*

It was a blast door, but the LN might have made it brittle (to say nothing of your feet...)
Anyway, the pool follows you, and in the clouds of halon you can barely discern the mecha-wasps closing in.

*slams the door shut and thryes to close any gaps around it...*
oh yes the ln was a really good idea....
*checks through her exuipment for anything remotly usefull in this situation*

*comes up behind anthea*
here let me
*gets out a blowtorch and melts the edges of the door so that they close all gaps*
That won't last for long... so lets get out of here
