I can see that you've tried to use GuideML in your entry. Unfortunatly, you've made a few mistakes (don't worry, we've all done it!). If you go to the <./>Guideml-Clinic</.>, it'll show you how to fix them .

good lord - i am so lost. i really have no idea of the technicalities of writing on h2g2. there was me thinking you just wrote it out and then some editor stuck it on the right page for you! i've looked in the guide clinic but it's all greek to me. what do i have to do before it can go on the fiction page? it's been stuck in the alt writ wksp for ages now. any ideas?

This is a very moving story.

It's a shame you haven't really had the feedback on this you were looking for.

I think there are various writer's self help groups on H2G2, and you might get more detailed comments there.

I for one thought it was very well written.

I think it's beautifully written, very believable and the dialogue is excellent. It's a pity the rest of the story isn't there. Are you out there STH? Will you tell us more? Please?

i'm back, a bit (i think)
only stumbled onto h2g2 due to helping a friend on the 'sense of place' site. but she was unceremoniously dumped, so i didn't bother with the site for a good while
i wrote a lot more story and have it somewhere, but devoted my time to 'venkman', a rock band i'm in, have put some lyrics on my home page to make it look a bit different

Ok, I've just read this first part since I saw the third one as recently been put into the AWW.
I think it's definately UnderGuide material.

Don't worry about the GuideML, the polisher will take care of that.

Hi sthwba,
look, the AWW is rather slow moving. The fact that you might not receive a reply in some days does not mean that you writings are no good. If you take a look at the time it takes for other pieces to gather some kind of response, you'll see that this delay is sort of normal. I'm not saying that the delay is good, but with no more than two dozen people being associated with the UnderGiude and the other AWW schemes being less popular or less prominent at the AWW it takes some time till someone gets back to you. Thatll hopefully change once the UG hits the front pages.

Now.
I suggest you put the other chapters here, into the AWW. And don't worry about the GuideML... Jodan, I or anyother UG GemPolisher or someone from the other schemes will take care of that.

As for my personal space.. thanks for the compliment. It took some time to assemble the bits and I only got around to layouting it for the Goo skin (I mean there weren't any other skins when I conceived the layout ... )
the poem at your space reminds me of old Depeche Mode lyrics ... times gone and lost ... but they left their impression on my soul ... formed me more than I would know, and tell more about me, too.
