OK. In the spirit of the time .. in the spirit of teamwork .. in the spirit of many things ....

here is Diamond Luke in its rearranged almost-glory .....

I am prepared to edit anything except for The Music of Aeons .... I stand by my pretentiousness .... and maybe also the number 9 ... ... I need my pretentious number 9 ...to see me through till my next cup of coffee




I have no idea why I am using the word Receptor ... especially when I probably mean Reflector ... both, it seems, mean something ... as I checked already and its all kind of to do with physics and biochemistry and things ...which is a bit scary but hey ....

I just get obsessed with words and the word Receptor haunts me, and somehow seems to fit this story ... ... hmm .. perhaps it might have to go ....

It turned out that Crystal Receiver is an early radio .... I had no idea .. I was just pulling words and phrases out of the collective unconscious .. .. but I left it in, and referred to it in the list where I said about digital radio ...

all these things would be further checked if I had to take this piece further ... and all things further .. for now its just good for me to learn to share without the usual tension headaches wrapping themselves around my skull like a snakey snake pressure thing ...

I like it this way.

There's a kit you can get to make a crystal receiver. You buy them in those pretentious brainy-kids stores, as a toy.

They didn't have those brainy-kids stores when I was a kid, so I bought one at the age of about forty, just out of curiosity. I put it together - wires, small crystal, small battery.

Went out in the backyard, put the little bud in my ear, stroked the crystal, and heard a local radio station. Felt like stout Cortes...

I think this story will make other people feel like that, silent upon a peak in Darien. It's a discovery, as I'm saying pretentiously.

Oddly, Beethoven's Ninth does sound like a 9 to me. But then, I don't hear numbers. Nine just has that full, complete feeling, and so does that symphony. Seven's got a sharper edge to it...seven is bold and edgy...

Now you've got me doing it.

I think this is great now.

I think it's good to hint at the supernatural and other-worldly without spelling it out.

And it makes people stop and think about music and art and where they can find them.

Crystal Receiver ...I can't believe those two words were just embedded in my brain ..must have heard them in childhood or something .... then I find out they're a type of radio ... then I hear from someone who made one and got radio waves to come out of them ..... the words, that is .. no .. wait .. the crystal .... how did radio waves come out of a crystal receiver?????? or, in fact, any radio ...it's so miraculous .....

can you see radio waves? even though they're soundwaves? and are they quivering through the atmosphere all the time... or do they get attracted when you turn on the radio?

I am having one of my reeeeely intelligent halfhours .... .....



things I just became obsessed with ..... because of the words ... that end in o-r. and remind me of Receptors .....

Perhaps I need a Mentor.
