A Conversation for Shakespeare
Stratfordians vs. Oxfordians.
The Grand High Pomogranate Started conversation Jun 2, 1999
There is another theory of Shakespeare's existence, and that comes mostly from the Oxford side, with about as much evidence as for Bacon. That is, many also believe that Edward De Vere was the man who wrote Shakespeare. There is evidence to support this, as well as an intriguing article that I read once which pointed out De Vere's name hidden in Shakespeare's grave epitaph.
It certainly is interesting to talk about, and there has been quite a lot of debate around whether or not this man ever even existed!
