On a packet of microwave soup, just after the heating instructions it says something like "Caution: soup may be hot"! I've noticed a similar warning on the lids of take-away coffee.
A couple more recursive acronyms: ATM machine, ISBN number, PIN number.
I work in a library, here's an interesting piece of info once given to me by a patron. "You know, if you type in the author's name you get a whole list of everything they've written". Hmmm.
Can I join please?

The hotness of coffee and drinks is sort of in, but I'll edit to add soup as well.
I'll add the self recursive acronyms (or SRA acroynms ) in.
Your in.

Thanks for letting me in.
I'll be sure to let you know if I come across any more stupid bits of info.
PS: "SRA acronyms" I like it!

Was just sent one via email. Apparently on the packet for a Johnson and Johnson rectal thermometer in small print there is a statement:
"Every rectal thermometer made by Johnson and Johnson is personally tested"

Thought you'd like that one. Don't know how true it is. It's one of those emails that get forwarded around. Next time I'm in a chemist I'll have a look. If I can find them. I draw the line at asking the Pharmasist where the rectal thermomometers are.
Key: Complain about this post
