The school that I go to is really big on pointless lessons

As far as I'm concerned, most of what I'm learning is pointless. Especially fictional analysis! Ugh, the guy just wanted to write a story, why is that so hard to understand without adding a theme and symbols and "Christ-like characters!!!!!"
