That's my "You're Fired" crossbow. When you shoot it, all that happens is a little flag comes out that says "You're Fired".
Why don't you have a go with this one? Accurate to a micron after 50 yards on a still day. *hands him a carbon-composite crossbow*

*takes crossbow and fires it at the target. The bolt lands in the throat of the target*

I am impressed... *turns up the wind, about 15MPH crosswind* I'd like to see it again...

*Fits another arrow*

*Aims a bit into the wind. Pulls out a calculator and does some trig*

*Fires*

*The arrow thuds into the target again, a bit off the center of the throat*

There. Physics can be nice.

*considers asking his Physics teacher to tell him how to do that...*

Pretty easy, it's just vectors and the pythagorean theorem... 75MPH of the arrow combined with the 15MPH of the wind at 90 degrees, and I'm not going ot work it out...

hic, hello I'm organising an h2g2 pub crawl starting at the h2g2 knight's pub "the fountain of falling down water", would it be alright for us to come here as part of it?

*Walks in knocking the space dust to the floor and checks his thumb*

Yeah, here is a good place. I don't know about the decent part, having not checked on the drinks for about a year, but they should still be around. It takes more than time to wear out the taste of most of the stuff in here, though .

By the way, wasn't there an episode of Moderator shooting around here somewhere? I looked around, but the posts seem to have been edited... No matter.

Anything in particular you'd like, or want me to go find the list?

Oh, and CV, if you happen to still be around... umm... sorry for being a complete pr*ck. While I'm here, I have some work to do on these computer systems. Trust me, I'm not gonna mess them up this time.
