All this build up to the Jackson film is driving me crazy! 4 months to go. I'm a Middle Earth maniac and while my poor body is stuck on the wrong plane, in my head I'm running with the Elves. I'd love to join your club, because the only other Tolkien fans I know are my dad and big brother, so not much conversation there, and my unfortunate friends are sick of me wittering on.

My friends are also fed up with me raving about LOTR (they are big Harry Potter fans-so I am I love HP, but I am also looking forward to LOTR)

I'm a recent Harry Potter convert too. Luckily I work in a bookshop with a generous staff discount! There are vast quantities of Tolkien-related books being published just now to tie in with the film, and a lot of re-issues with new covers. I'll never keep up!

I hope the film doesn't turn out to be a Phantom Menace-like turkey. Peter Jackson is usually brill, though, and should ensure it does not descend to Hollywood hideousness!
