How big a bite of the apple do you normally take?.

To Deety, from Helen - in response to your question - a personal fable, not intended to offend anyone's philosophies -
I dreamed I walked through gardens
There were light-effects and fruits
And trees as tall as dinosaurs
With twisty tangly roots
I did perceive an apple
With a green and golden skin
I tried in vain to reach it
From my unforgiven sin
I dreamed I walked through gardens
Where fables, old as thought
Did turn this juicy apple
Into maggot afterthought
A serpent with a tongue of fire
Did coil around my sleeve
I spoke to it of apples
And it hissed "Thy name is Eve"
I long to free that apple
From its tainted archetype
I long to crunch it, seeds and all
Be it sour, or cider-ripe
I dreamed I walked through gardens
There were light-effects and fruits
I dreamed I ate an apple
From a tree with tangled roots

....aargh, my name's not Eve, its Helen ...thanks for getting me Golden Deliciously apple-addicted Deety - great theme - even though I was supposed to be elsewhere about half an hour ago, and I haven't even had supper (except apples) ........the work of an artist is never done ...

- not quite a sixties child - I was thirteen in 1968 - in an all girls English public school - probably just as well, as the technicolour swirl would have finished off a delicate brain like mine -
- when I was five I looked into the centre of a tulip in my Dad's garden, and saw an extraordinary mandala universe - I should have just gone wow, way back then, but in fact I had to undergo a rather difficult journey to get back to my original vision - and surrender to mystery -
perhaps that's all part of it - the journey home and all that? -
nice talking to you Deeety - I am really inspired by the people I am meeting on hootoo -
PS Hypatia and her Ozark Oracles! - I'm in there

Like I said, I like it, so make it public, pop it into the AWW for everyone to read... and inspire...
