Bob: Nice Apple
Adam: Yeah, want a bite?
Bob: Thanks

Adam: Hey you eat half my apple!
Bob: Sorry but you didn’t specify the quantity
Adam: Well, I just assumed you would take a small bite…
Bob: Why did you assume that?
Adam: Because that’s what normal people would have taken
Bob: Any normal people?
Adam: Well, normal polite people, anyhow.
Bob: Are you calling me impolite?
Adam: No, just saying that normal polite people would have taken a smaller bite.
Bob: So you are calling me impolite?
Adam: Well, you did take an extremely large bite
Bob: Oh, I am sorry, can I try again…
Adam: Well, I suppose so..

Bob: see I have taken a much smaller bite, am I normal polite people now
Adam: Well, I suppose so, but now I haven’t got hardly any apple left.
Bob: Don’t worry you can have a bite of mine
Adam: You have your own apple?
Bob: Yes
Adam: So why did you take a bite out of mine?
Bob: Well, you did offer and I didn’t want to be impolite

Bob: Yes, but not for refusing to take a bite

Bob: I also took a very polite small bite to make up for it..
