I am moving this to the correct forum, as I feel this is admirably suitable for consideration for The Post.
It's an excellent piece of writing, which could do with a few bits of editing. I was really moved when I read it.

Thanks but it does need some editing. This is always hard to do, as you don't want to destroy the creative elements.
Also the writer "falls in love with his own words" and is perhaps not the best person to properly edit his work.
But all writers need positive feedback. I was watching the Olympics and the athletes said they same thing,
that is, that it is positive feedback that leads to their best performances. Now there is an idea for a story!

Thanks for that. It is always hard to write this sort of story, so I was a bit worried that it was over the top.
But watching the Olympics, has convinced me that these sorts of stories are needed. Now I just have to
make a good job of editing this story. Thanks for the positive feedback.
