Hah!
I warned you. Although I haven't mentioned geese. This is a piece with no geese. A geeseless piece.
I do mention Notes with wings though. But they are not geese. I don't think.
A celebration of Notes! My definitive work. In fact all my other works are pulped and recycled into this work.
One day I hope a Note will turn into a tiny story. Or a tiny poem. If it does, I will offer it to you, in return for a goosefeather duvet. Oh no. That's awful. How could I say that? I am a vegetarian and a lowly writer of Notes.

These Notes, wing-ed, are haunting...
I must think and dream about them.

I'm afraid that my Notes are of the sort that start 'I should'.
I should iron the handkerchiefs, clean the kitchen floor, buy a new tumble dryer. Or, perhaps I should iron the tumble dryer, buy a new kichen floor, and clean the handkerchiefs?

Dmitri Gheorgheni, Post Editor Posted Nov 21, 2010
Or iron the floor, etc?
I never use paper for notes, because I lose them...I just open Notepad. Then I lose them in the files...

S'cuse me, just making some Notes here, for a piece entitled How Other Notes Live.
.
I think it is good to iron the tumble dryer from time to time. This keeps things turning around in a smooth kind of a way. Nice idea. It is good to keep things smooth. I think I shall go and buy an iron.
Hullo! I am a Note. I speak to you from the inside of a dog.
. I feel like Jonah, inside this dog.
. Expect great literature. I had better hurry though, to communicate my insights, because soon I will exit the dog.
My Gran's dog ate paper. Newspaper mainly. She loved a newspaper.
Apparently, when Kerouac was feverishly typing out the stream of consciousness manuscript for On The Road, he just left it to pour out of his typewriter as a long long long unfurling roll of paper. And, apparently, his dog saw this animated roll of paper, and started to eat it. This could be urban myth. I know not the truth of this matter.
Hah! and hah! again. Have you seen today? Oh yes, and can I have your autographs please? Do you want mine? No? No? OK then, I will write it on a Note and tuck it into a passing Christmas pudding, along with a sixpence and a tiny silver anchor.
I know. Do you remember finding silver sixpences in the Christmas pudding? I think I might write a Note about it.
OK I will go away now, and read the rest of .

Lucky you that your notes have wings. Mine have legs of lead. They hardly ever get me anywhere. It's why I don't take them, although I always mean to. As a reminder, mind.

Ahem. As a way to reach all of you, and by way of an announcement:
CC is right. You have all been ninja-published.
Congratulations. Or throw
.
The Public At Large is e'en now appreciating the Grasshopper Saga under the rubric 'The Grasshopper Lies Heavy'.
Which, as you all no doubt know, is the title of a FICTIONAL novel.
In PK Dick's award-winning 'The Man in the High Castle', a science fiction novelist living in an alternate reality writes a novel describing, er, a reality close to our own - as a counterfactual novel.
The title of this novel-within-a-novel is 'The Grasshopper Lies Heavy'.

Hah! Yes. S'cuse me, just checking Bel's Post 7 . If I pass your notes, Bel, moving slow on the track with their leaden legs, I shall give them a lift in my bike panniers.
. Jump in guys. You have to go remind Bel of all the things she once forgot.
Yes! Yes! Ninja publishers!
.
Ahem
OK - I'm going to talk all serious writing-workshop talk here for a minute.
I'm secretly pleased, also, to be back in . I love this magazine
and all those who create it, so it is good for me to have got through my nervous patch, and be able to contribute something in return.
Also, I am really pleased with the piece that you guys ninja-selected. When I first wrote it I was a bit like hmmm not sure about this one. Good to share, huh. See it with different eyes.
The few weeks since the Time Travel event have been really like a golden time for me, writing-wise. A time of growth. And working with you guys has been the best. Ah yay it has. So thankyou.
What I have also learned from this time is that, for me, one work tends to morph into the next work.
I didn't realise, till now, that a work that I think is complete, is, in fact, Notes. Hence my celebration of Notes. hahaha.
So I have put White Worm:Odyssey and a coupla other pieces back into Not For Review store for now, for remix.
White Worm or pieces in store for remix not ready for ninja. Shy White Worms.
And now I got two dreams in my head, writing-wise. The first is to go on celebrating Notes. Might as well. No point denying them. .
The second is to write another piece like my Disappearing Story, that came out all short and concise and somehow complete. But that depends on Notes.
gettit?
And thanks again, folks.

with pursuing your Notes. I hope they turn into a tune.
And thank you for sharing with us some of your great ideas - like 'the lady mourns for grasshopper'.

Thankyou kind peoples for noting my Notes and ....
Notes!! Of course.
I can't believe it, really I can't. Every five seconds I am going on and on .. and on ....
.... about music coming out of geraniums and things, and how writing is, in fact, music, unless it isn't,
and then I go on about Notes and it takes mvp to remind me about ...
I feel a tune coming on. Please tune turn into a story.

Potted palm? What potted palm?
ah, Magwitch, melty melty swoon swoon. nice sound. whoah. melty melty swoon swoon story.
OK so I am going to go play all my weird CDS,the titles of which I can't even mention because you will all tease me, and see what story does infest by brain. or not.
Which came first in human history? music or writing? (or cave paintings which turned into writing. did they?) Someone had to be the first person to write down their lyrics. Like .
OK I have to go to sleep. Behind the potted palm.
