Thanks, MVP. I'm not sure what kind of aliens they are, because I never met them myself. 
But I'm wondering whether the fact that it's silly means I don't have to work on it anymore. For example, I've noticed that I use a lot of terminology irrelevant in space - up, down, dropping things... Think I can get away with it?

I don't think it detracts from the whimsy. 
After all, it's not supposed to be scientifical.
