here's one for those poke' fans who have always wanted a game where you could go to all the regions. It's a fictional story where the main character does just that (he will eventually anyway).

I suspect this has a true Pokemon feel to it. Unfortunately, I've never played the game. (MMO GM, here.)

The story makes for a good scifi universe. The problem is, you absolutely lose anybody who doesn't know the landscape. (Which doesn't matter in fanfic, if you're only trying to reach other fans.)

If you want outsiders to get it, try describing it a bit more. Give us an in - introduce elements more slowly, show us what we're looking at.

The sensibility of the characters is interesting.

I agree with dmitri, this is only suitable for people who know Pokemon and have at least watched the series. I watched it with my children years ago, but if it hadn't been for that, I wouldn't really have got what this is about in the first place. An introduction certainly wouldn't go amiss.

well admitadly i was aiming at fellow poke'fans i don't really think it would make sense to anyone else.

ok, ive had a look at that site, i think i prefer h2g2 thanks.

But in that case, if you want hootooers to understand Pokemon, you, er, need to put some work into the description.

I have to admit that I don't know much about Pokemon.

So, if you were writing for me, you would have to do a bit to describe your characters and setting. I wanted to know what the following were:
Tyrogue, beedrill, scyther, hitmontop, miltank, charmeleon, kadabra, houndoom.

The story seems to have potential though.
